Dispatch
Orders are dispatched the same day if ordered before midday or next day if purchased after midday Monday to Friday. An email will be sent confirming receipt of your order and the delivery address and tracking code.
If you prefer an item to be sent to a work or other address please email as soon as possible after purchase or add a note in the message box when paying.
Postage and packing £2 per item is automatically added when an item is added to the shopping cart.
We also accept other forms of payment - google checkout,cheque, postal order, Western Union Money transfer.Email for details.
UK Dispatch - Items sent to UK addresses by second class recorded delivery. If you require next day guaranteed delivery in the UK add the Next Day UK Special Delivery fee
International Dispatch sent by trackable postage. Add the International Postage fee for your county Zone. Certain countries are excluded from worldwide dispatch where normal postal services are not possible.
Returns
Items may be returned for a refund or exchange excluding postage costs.
Goods must be returned as sold in their original condition and packaging to us ie received by us within 14 days (UK) 21 days (International) of date of purchase. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs and assumes responsibility for loss in transit.Goods sent for exchange will be entitled to free dispatch of alternative item if the value is the same or higher than the returned item. To arrange a return an email must be sent to us within 7 days of date of purchase of goods requesting a returns authorization code and full details of how to return including the returns address will be given.
Sizing of Bracelets and Bangles
Please provide the following 2 measurements - Good Fit - Cut along the length of a piece of A4 paper approximately 0.5cm strip for a small bangle or bracelet or 3cm for a wide bangle. Wrap it round your wrist like a template allowing the space you require for a good fit then open it up and measure it with a ruler. Exact wrist size -use a piece of string or paper and hold it exactly around your wrist without any space then lay it along a ruler as above. If no measurements are provided then a stock size will be sent
Alterations
If sending a bracelet or bangle for alteration please adjust the item to the size required or connect with a piece of string to show the required length - or send a piece of string tied to the size required. An alteration postage fee is payable either online or send cheque with item payable to Silver Wire Designs. Alterations are sent back as soon as possible - usually within 2 days.

Gift Wrapping
Items can be gift wrapped and sent with your message direct to the recipient. No details of price will be included in the parcel. Add the gift wrapping fee £1 per order to the basket and email us or add a note with the personal message you wish to be included on the gift card
Chains for Pendants
All pendants come ready to wear with 18 inch sterling silver curb chains unless otherwise indicated - 16 inch can be supplied on request. Other chains are available silver chains
Descriptions - Sizes are approximate and where shown for the earrings do not include the ear fittings. Please note that the jewelry is individually handmade so every piece will have a slight variation. Gemstones are natural so may have natural flaws. All jewellery is solid sterling silver 925 or higher grade silver. If you need a specially made to measure item please email the size you require or add it into the message box when you pay. All pendants come complete with a sterling silver 18 inch 925 hallmarked curb chain.
How long will it take the jewellery to arrive? Approximate delivery times - UK 2 days, - Western Europe 3 days,Eastern Europe 4 days - USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand 5 days, Rest of the World please ask. For a small extra fee special delivery guarantees next day delivery to the UK by 1pm or 9am (see Misc Page - All items are sent by trackable postage and are dispatched the same day if purchased by midday.
When will my purchase be dispatched if I order over a weekend ? Any orders taken over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday or Saturday if possible. Items purchased Friday night are often dispatched on Saturday morning.
I am buying for a gift can you extend the return period ? Yes the time can be extended on request.
Can I also return earrings for refund? Yes all items can be returned for refund or exchange. For reasons of hygiene earrings are not sold on however we want all of our customers to be happy with their purchase so the same refund policy applies to all items.
How do I purchase from this shop? See the How to Order Jewellery Page for full details. Simply add to the basket items you wish to buy including options such as next day delivery and gift wrapping, it is possible to delete from the basket, then pay via the secure server. You can pay using credit or debit cards or your paypal account. You do not have to join paypal in order to purchase.
Is everything on this website in stock? - Yes unless there is a note indicating to allow time for delivery which applies to some Tiaras and on occasion a few other items. To make sure you are viewing the most updated stock page refresh your browser when the page has loaded as new items are added regularly.
How is the jewellery packaged? - Jewellery arrives in a presentation jewellery box most are black velvet with the logo - Silver Wire Designs Trade Mark printed inside.
I have lost an earring can you make another one? - Usually this is possible please email to check first then send back the original to be copied. One earring is charged at half the price of the pair plus p+p. Can I visit you? - No sorry this is an online shop only. We do however offer a money back guarantee so if you do not like an item for any reason you can return it for a refund see above.

I have seen a piece of jewellery I like but would like to be given more of an idea of size before purchase. Contact us with the reference number and we will be happy to provide more measurements and if required send an alternative photo of the item next to something you can relate to visually eg coins
Commissions,Bespoke, Specially made to measure Service - If you would like a particular item but with a different gemstone, or have something particular in mind please ask as all items can be handmade to order and a photograph emailed for approval before purchase. A non-refundable deposit is required before work is commenced amounting to 20% of the price quoted which will be deducted from the final purchase price.
There is so much jewellery on this site I am a bit lost - There is a Shopping Directory at the bottom of each shop page which will take you back to the List of items or visit the sitemap.The shop pages can be browsed by clicking on the next buttons which will go through all the shop departments in a loop. You may wish to add items to the basket as you are browsing as they can be deleted later. This will allow you to revisit the items you have noted by using the reference numbers in the search box facility on the Shop Directory page.
I saw something on the website but can't find it now? - Most items are limited edition but if you saw something and it is no longer on the site please ask as it may still be possible to make another item in a similar style.
Do I have to pay any extra for postage outside the UK? - Yes all items are sent by priority postage so there is a small additional fee for international postage Misc if you have paid for an item it wil be reserved for you until we have received the additional fee due. You will be sent an email with details of how to pay.
Will you post to Forces BFPO addresses? - Yes we can send gifts to BFPO addresses or direct to a relative or friend with gift wrapping see Misc Page.Children's Hand made Jewellery - Pendants can be made to order with smaller 14 inch chains. Please ensure if jewellery is bought for children that they are supervised at all times as there are small parts which could be dangerous to children.
Continental Ear Fittings - Continental or stud fittings can be substituted for the hook wires at an extra cost (see below). White Gold fittings are also available as replacements.(See Misc Page)
Cleaning, Care and Storage of Handcrafted Silver Jewellery- Handmade Silver Jewelry can be cleaned using a cloth such as Town Talk or Goddards Silver Polishing Cloth (see Misc page). Do not dip items as this may damage the gems. Silver Chains can be dipped if separated from the pendant. It is recommended that if items are not being worn that they are kept in a sealed plastic bag as exposure to air quickens the tarnishing of silver. Items that are worn regularly should not tarnish quickly. You may wash items in warm water with a little washing up liquid and dry with a kitchen towel. Be sure to air dry for a few hours before returning to the plastic bag.
What is the best way to store silver jewellery? In an airtight re-sealable plastic bag when completely dry. Half seal the bag then squeeze the remaining air out before sealing to remove as much air as possible.
